10-Day Hoof Groom Certification
Course
Please Note: The 10-day
Hoof Groom Certification Course
may be split up into two 5-day

General

of the trim to correct aberrant
hoof form and to maximize
performance. The Hoof Groom
Course will begin on a Friday
morning and continue through
the following weekend, ending
on Sunday afternoon for a
total of ten consecutive days.
Topics and Activities:
Through lecture, demonstration,
dissection, discussion and
critiques, students will learn:
- Hoof care theory and history
- Support for the natural
hoof
- Anatomy and physiology
of the hoof
- Mapping the hoof
- Physiologically correct
trimming
- Natural horse handling
and management
